The Waygate Technologies site in Skaneateles, NY specializes in Remote Visual Inspection equipment, with our industrial borescope leading the world with our measurement capability.
A typical application would use our borescopes to peer inside the combustion chamber of a jet engine to locate and measure a dent, crack, or other defect to within several thousandths of an inch! Everything is located right in NY, from R&D, manufacturing, software development, and repair leading to constant collaboration between teams.

The Engineer provides direction and assistance to work group in order to meet assigned objectives.
In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for:
First responder and problem solver to manufacturing process and product related issues for the manufacturing cell team.
Identify, gain consensus, plan, and execute short- and long-term projects related to the supply chain for specific manufacturing unit targeting productivity gains, scrap reduction, product cost reduction.
Responsible to exchange data and information interaction concerns and improvements in products, processes, and procedures.
Handles standardized manufacturing processes.
Guidelines for choosing the right actions.
Some latitude in ways of working and planning.
Technical lead member of a cross functional team that leads a small manufacturing unit with a budget > $ 0.
5 million To be successful in this role you will:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial), or associate degree in technical discipline with significant production engineering experience with camera, or micro machining, or micro electromechanical assemblies.
Demonstrated track record of leading & completing projects successfully.
Demonstrate general understanding of lean manufacturing methodology.

Strong working knowledge of basic mechanical hand tools, and gauges (caliper, Mics, etc.
